ITALY ATTRACTS FOREIGN INVESTMENTS

The consideration of foreign industry towards Italy is on the rise.

A poll among managers of the big multinational groups marked a point in favour of investments in Italy.

Italy entered the "top ten" among the most attractive countries as far as foreign investments are concerned.

Though behind United States, Great Britain, China and Germany, Italy came out eighth before Spain, France, Canada and Japan.

After worrying for years for the "escape"abroad of Italian enterprises and the lack of foreign capitals, it seems that the trend has no reversed.

However, Pininfarina, Chairman of Federmeccanica said that this is not enough and should only be seen as an encouragement to continue to work for an economic recovery and the simplification of the relative legislation.

He also approved the first steps taken by the new government aiming at attracting foreign investments.
